Good news: all train tickets are €1 on the entire liO regional network for the coming weekend.
In light of the fuel shortage that has been affecting France for several days, the president of the Occitanie Region, Carole Delga, has just announced that all liO regional train tickets will be offered at the rate of €1 for the weekend of October 15 and 15. This rate will be posted from this Thursday night at midnight.
"This exceptional measure aims to allow the inhabitants of Occitania to save fuel during the weekend to ensure their home-work trips next week," said the Region in a press release. Carole Delga also calls for a resumption of social dialogue without delay to find a quick solution to this situation now penalizing all French citizens and economic activity of the country.
Should the situation persist, the Occitania Region is considering the possibility of renewing the measure if necessary, she said.
